Services Development

The development of Netbase and associated software enables the system to be implemented within client water companies using the available technology to hand.  Netbase has been implemented with integratation through the Enterprise SOA using broker messaging systems such as Websphere or BizTalk.

Services have been used to provide interactive, user based functionality such as the interactive rendering of background maps within the GIS or the raising of jobs from Netbase in the corporate Works Management System such as SAP.  Broker Services are also used in back end processing and examples include access to corporate gazetteers for address matching or height services to generate elevations of entities.

The on-going application developments continue to exploit the use of web services and plans include web based access to the system through thin applications and information presentation techniques such as dash boarding.
