Netbase Case Studies – Overseas

Cavan, Louth, Donegal and Roscommon Councils, Ireland – 2010

The councils have established DMAs, metering and telemetry as part of the Irish Government’s Water Conservation programme. Netbase will be the network monitoring, leakage management, targeting and reporting system for each of the councils.

Labuan Island, Malaysia – 2010

Netbase was implemented as part of an holistic NRW contract by Jalur Cahaya Sdn. Bhd (JC), Crowder Consulting’s Malaysia partner.  The contract is funded by the Ministry of Energy as a reference for Malaysia.  Netbase was used for constructing all mains models and is the Water Distribution Management System for the island.

Kelantan Province, Malaysia – 2010

Netbase was implemented as part of a network improvement contract being carried out by Salcon Engineering for the State Government, AKSB.  The configuration of Netbase runs in parallel with the establishing of 150 DMAs.  The data analysis is being used for validating GIS data, drawing, mains trace, connectivity, and data matching.  The system will be used for NRW management, DMA targeting and regulatory reporting.

Manila, Philippines – 2009

Netbase was implemented as part of the MWSI strategic NRW reduction project, being managed by Miya, Crowder Consulting’s worldwide partner for Netbase.  The project involves the establishing of 1100 DMAs which are being configured incrementally to provide monitoring, analysis and reporting of NRW in Netbase.

Selangor Province, including Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 2007

Netbase was implemented as part of an NRW contract for Syabas carried out by Jalur Cahaya Sdn. Bhd, Crowder Consulting’s partner in Malaysia.  The system was used on the contract to validate the DMAs (1100) as they were set up and then in the monitoring, targeting and reporting of the network and NRW.
