Crowder Consulting representatives will be travelling to Australia in May to exhibit Netbase at OZWATER ’12. If this is your region, we would like to invite you to visit us at the conference taking place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, from 8th – 10th  May 2012.

Netbase to be Implemented in Bahamas (April ’12)

We are pleased to announce that as part of an NRW Reduction project in the Bahamas awarded to Miya / Veritec, Netbase is to be implemented and our consultancy support to be provided for modelling and rehab. The project is for the Water & Sewerage Corporation (WSC) based in Nassau, the largest city in the Bahamas with a population of 350,000, on the island of New Providence.

The implementation of Netbase will be a spatial system and will include applications for NRW management, network operations, pressure management, area and asset performance and hydraulic model management.

The project will commence April 2012.

Visit us at IWA Water Loss 2012

We will have a stand to exhibit our Netbase water distribution management software at the upcoming IWA Water Loss conference taking place in Manila, Philippines from 26th – 29th February 2012. On the stand there will be demonstrations of Netbase, highlighting key areas of the software’s capability, including:

  • NRW Management
  • Network Improvement
  • Network Operations
  • Hydraulic Model Management

Additionally, we will be jointly presenting a paper at the conference with our Malaysian partner Jalur Cahaya Sdn Bhd (JC) and Client SYABAS. The subject of the paper is the underground network improvement planning project we are carrying out in Malaysia for SYABAS alongside JC, for which Netbase is a key tool.

Bristol Water Netbase Upgrade

Bristol Water is one of Crowder Consulting’s longest standing Netbase clients, having implemented the system in 1998. The company has chosen to upgrade to the latest version of Netbase, Netbase 6, taking advantage of its advanced leakage and network management capabilities.  This upgrade will bring their system inline with the standard Netbase schema and will include a fully integrated time-series data repository (TSDR) for loading, validating and analysing measured data.

The Netbase upgrade will introduce a number of new applications and features into Bristol Water, including:

  • Campaign Manager application for leakage detection surveys prioritisation, with links to their SAP work management system.
  • NetConn application for drawing and maintaining ‘source to tap’ interactive geographical and operational schematics of the strategic water network.
  • Additional operational management reports.
  • Dashboard reporting.

The upgrade is scheduled to commence in January 2012.

Netbase Implementation for Oakland County, Michigan, US

Crowder Consulting, in partnership with Miya-Veritec, have been appointed by the Oakland County Water Resource Commissioner’s Office, Michigan, to implement a non – spatial version of the Netbase water distribution management software. The system is to be implemented for time series data integration and NRW management of the water network.  This will be the first implementation of Netbase in the United States.

The key features the system will provide in this implementation are:

  • Time Series Data Repository of all monitored flow, pressure and level sites in the city’s network
  • Graphical views and analysis of all monitored data.
  • Water Balance, comprising a top down analysis of distribution input and consumption, bottom up analysis of nightlines, leakage and losses.
  • Reporting features for creating operational management reports

Netbase will streamline the management of data for OCWRC and provide greater transparency. As well as enabling the company to manage, analyse and report on NRW in the network.

The project start up is November 2011
