Another year means another great Yorkshire WaterAid football tournament! Hosted by Yorkshire Water at Goals Leeds, last Friday we were proud to sponsor the tournament once again, with the main aim of raising funds for WaterAid.
This year saw an incredible turnout, with 32 teams competing. Our three teams all battled brilliantly, with ‘Water Balance Wanderers’ making it through to the Quarter Finals and ‘Real Losses’ coming agonisingly close to glory as runners up. In the end, the reigning champions ‘Jogo Bonito’ held onto their title for the second year running.
While we didn’t bring home the glory, the real victory was off the pitch. The event raised an amazing £3,869 for WaterAid, supporting life-changing projects around the world.
We’d like to thank Yorkshire Water for hosting such a fantastic event, and all those that took part. Here’s to next year, where we battle it out again!
