Caribbean Regional Conference – Water Loss 2023
We were delighted to be Bronze Sponsors at the Caribbean Regional Conference – Water Loss 2023, in Trinidad and Tobago. Tom and Ella enjoyed meeting delegates at our exhibitors booth to discuss smart water network solutions over the past few days. We managed to attend interesting presentations where other water professionals spoke about NRW Management, Pressure Management, Leak Detection and much more. On Day 2, Tom spoke about Applying Best Practice to Reduce Leakage in Troublesome DMAs using Smart Solutions and Technologies. This presentation summarised an overall approach to DMA Leakage reduction projects and provided insight on innovative techniques applied to reduce leakage in troublesome DMAs. Tom covered the following aspects:
- Measuring DMA Leakage Reduction
- Building a multi-skilled Project Team
- Approach to Delivering Leakage Reduction Projects
- Reducing Leakage in Rural & Urban Troublesome DMAs
- Applying Leakage Detection Techniques
Ella provided some feedback from her time at the conference:
“From networking evenings meeting the Minister of Public Utilities, to contributing in discussions about Women in Engineering, to getting involved with traditional dancing, it was an intense week that I won’t ever forget.
As my first international conference, the Caribbean Regional Conference – Water Loss 2023 set the bar high, thanks to the amazing organisation of many fantastic individuals who ensured the event ran so smoothly.
I learnt a lot during the week and feel proud of what I have achieved. It is important to always grow and mature in your knowledge and character.”
The conference was a well organised event that both Tom and Ella really appreciated. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the coordination of this successful event. We look forward to strengthening the new (and existing) relationships that were made at the conference, in the near future. #CRCWL23 #caribbeanregionalwaterlossconference2023 #waterloss #smartwaternetworksolutions #crowderconsulting
