Two weeks ago, our team, Harry Swain, Connaire Corkerry, Henry Lawrence, Alex Conway, and Randal Lavery, joined industry leaders at the 26th Annual Leakage Conference to explore the latest strategies, technologies, and innovations in tackling water leakage.

Day 1 focused on policy and strategic initiatives, including updates from Water UK, Ofwat, and WRc on reforms, leakage reporting, and AMP8 plans. Discussions on customer-side leakage and ageing infrastructure highlighted the importance of harmonising approaches and leveraging smart metering.

Day 2 shifted to operational and technology developments under the PALM framework (Prevent, Awareness & Locate). Sessions covered pressure management, climate impacts, and advanced detection techniques.

Media (4)-1A proud moment for Crowder Consulting was seeing Randal Lavery take the stage alongside Andrew Blenkharn (Northumbrian Water) to present on “Eliminating the Impossible in a Troublesome DMA”, sharing insights into smart leakage solutions and data-driven strategies that help utilities overcome complex challenges.

The event reinforced a key message: collaboration and innovation are critical to securing our water future. We’re excited to continue driving progress with our partners and clients.

If you’re passionate about leakage reduction and smart water solutions, let’s connect and keep the conversation going!
